So, if you are like me, using who/whom was always a challenge.  I'd get long explanations about verb tenses, and the moon cycle, and wether or not a chicken was within a 10 mile radius.  

But, the truth is really simple: turn a statement into a question, then answer it using he/him.

ex) WHO is ready?  HE is ready.  => Who is okay!
     WHO are you waiting for?  I'm waiting for HIM.  => Whom is the best option.

So, if the answer ends with an M (him), then your who should too!  (WHOM!)

Like anything in English, it works most of the time but doesn't others.  I'd say, it's the best way to know without actually knowing any grammar!

Now, go out there and find out for whom the bell tolls!
